Assam tea has a deep, malty flavour with a smooth richness that stands up well to milk. Compared with lighter black teas like Ceylon, Assam is fuller and more robust, making it a satisfying morning tea.
Use 1 teaspoon of Lapsang Souchong loose leaf tea per cup of freshly boiled water and steep for 3–4 minutes. For a lighter smoky flavour, steep slightly less. For a stronger cup, extend the steeping time to suit your taste.
